Extension to a rural cottage in Hildenborough - Concept Stage

 

We were approached to create a modest extension to a property that had been altered and extended numerous times over many years, creating a potential lack of continuity.

To help incorporate all of these additions, including our own, we used materials already featured within the building, adopted the existing window cill and head heights, and looked to create a focal point in the form of a courtyard that connects these elements.

A modest proposal, but one that required equal attention and care.
