Set within a natural woodland clearing, this new-build home was designed to sit quietly within its rural surroundings while delivering a high-quality, contemporary family dwelling.

The brief was to create a house that felt established and timeless, using traditional Kent materials such as multi-stock brick and clay tiles, whilst responding sensitively to the site’s mature trees and ecological value. The design is positioned to minimise tree loss, protect root systems, and enhance biodiversity through new planting, habitat features, and lighting controls.

The result is a home that feels grounded in its landscape, balances rural character with modern living, and demonstrates how new development can positively contribute to its setting.
