This contemporary single-storey new build responds to a challenging site defined by overlooking, noise, and proximity to neighbouring properties.

Rather than forcing a conventional layout, the design embraces these constraints, using a series of courtyards, light wells, and carefully framed openings to bring daylight and privacy deep into the plan. The form breaks down the building mass while creating sheltered, usable outdoor spaces that feel private and calm. Natural materials and a restrained palette give the house a quiet presence, allowing the architecture to feel deliberate rather than dominant.

The scheme demonstrates how thoughtful design can unlock difficult sites and is currently submitted for planning consideration.
